sophie has been curious about our anniversary.

the day it rolled around she was busy in her room creating things and then wanted to wear her long white night gown. during dinner she kept asking when we would repeat our vows. finally got her through dinner looking at our wedding album.

during dinner she whispered to both of us, individually, that we needed to get up and kiss the other. of course we did and it turned quickly into a family hug. at that point it started to feel like we were in the presence of a movie director.

she wanted us to get all dressed up too, but we managed to avoid that.

so upstairs to read the vows. she presented us both with paper rings that she had cut, colored and taped, mine with a lovely red jewel (paper wad) and instructed us to stand there with our appropriate fingers extended and that she would put the rings on our fingers when we were done saying our vows. and she did.

and then on to her room where on her easel was a very nice picutre of daddy and i, all dressed up for our wedding.

she really is something special.
