Sophie says thank you

...for pirate ship trips, fold out couches, dinosaurs and balloon ladies. Books, books and more books, the ballerina purse and my-oh-my chocolate. Magnetic mosaics, patient conversations, chocolate peanut butter brownies and best-of-all goodnight kisses from Molly Dog. For princess duds and jewels, the best-cat-ever-Iris, playing computer games, tickling, playing, reading and a ROCK STAR patio. The off the chain Hello Kitty visor, medieval puzzles, Paddington Bear and Beatrix Potter - all have been enjoyed again and again this week (when can she come again? Sophie really asked that this morning.) The brown velour dress is a Monday ritual - helping us encourage comfy cozy Sophie Rosie off to Mrs. R's (we will be making a date for a Kit Kittredge movie viewing, she's loving the stories for now).

...for saving material, sewing boxes filled with goods touched by great-greandmas, toys, the kitchen, the doll beds, patterns, blankies (baby ni-nighs), jewelry, pictures to pass on. For giving her crayons, coloring books, mazes and snuggling plush animals. For crocheting the best popcorn and movie watching blanket ever. For sharing you sewing machine. For bringing her treats (even when she thinks all three are for her). For giving us a digital camera four years ago, where would we be without it? For making jewelry, giving me your cream puff, playing go fish ever so patiently. For finishing floors, making the most highly appreciated bathroom outlet in Georgetown, sourcing sinks for 95% less than cost and single-handedly creating the best kitchen a 4-year old sous-chef (and her minimalist mother) could ever imagine.

...for planting seeds of love thirty+ years ago for reading, sewing, creating, tasting, drawing, crafting, laughing, cooking, making, giving, loving so we could plant them again.

Thank you.
