Day #2

Sophie and I went to the Grand Rapids Art Museum (Grandmas and Grandpas, please visit http://www.gramonline.org/), the building alone is worth the visit.

While we were there I asked Sophie to color the colors she saw in the pieces on the walls (a la Adele and Simon), here's what she did:

After this we went to Global Infusion for Hummingbird Tea and the BEST latte in Grand Rapids. Sophie drew a picture ( Hi and a flower ) for Beth, the nice lady who works there (owns it?) and fielded questions from Mr. Jeffrey Richards (owner of the BEST salon in Grand Rapids, if only I could justify the pesos to go there). Did you go the museum? (He saw her sticker.) Did you like the art? Do you like your tea? She was yes across the board. We like him very much and tried hard to not eavesdrop, but he was sitting so close by.

Sophs helped out with groceries, what a trooper and we prayed for all the mothers who do this with more than one child.

After nap Rainey helped us with extra flour while we made our separate pizza doughs, which never rose, but still turned out some good pizza. The Dad came home and we four got some more grocery shopping done, scoring some post-Christmas deals at Fresh Market. Malted milk-balls for Grandpa and snow man caps for Grandma. We see them in a week and we're on the count down!
